About StretchesFor
A clearer, calmer way to explore movement.
StretchesFor is a free educational tool designed to help people organise what they feel, notice when self-guided exercise may not be appropriate, and follow gentle movement with clearer instructions.
Our mission
Finding a useful stretch should not require creating an account, sharing a health history, or sorting through an overwhelming exercise library. We built StretchesFor to offer a focused starting point: plain-language guidance, conservative safety checks, and short routines that leave the user in control.
How it works
The tool begins with one body area. It presents several educational patterns, asks a short deterministic questionnaire, and then points to one of three paths: gentle movement, professional evaluation, or urgent care guidance.
If movement is a reasonable next step, each exercise includes setup instructions, dosage guidance, common mistakes, an easier option, and clear reasons to stop.
Safety comes first
Urgent warning signs take precedence over all other answers. Critical uncertainty is treated conservatively instead of being counted as a “no.” StretchesFor will not try to keep someone exercising when their answers suggest that care may be more appropriate.
For the full limits and emergency guidance, read the medical disclaimer.
Private by design
There are no accounts or saved symptom profiles. Body-area choices and questionnaire answers remain in temporary page memory and disappear when the page is refreshed or closed. Read the privacy policy for details about media requests, hosting logs, and voluntary email contact.
Our content approach
Pattern descriptions and safety copy are informed by cited public guidance from recognised health systems and medical organisations. Exercise content is written to favour understandable setup, controlled movement, and conservative stop rules.
The content is educational and has not been individually medically reviewed unless a page explicitly states otherwise. We welcome factual, accessibility, and source corrections through the contact page.
What we do not do
StretchesFor does not diagnose conditions, estimate medical probabilities, replace a physical examination, prescribe treatment, or create a medical record. It is not an emergency service and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional who knows your circumstances.
